Munich-based Wacker Neuson SE is a listed manufacturer of equipment for the construction industry, including compaction equipment and compact equipment for concrete and construction site technology. The company was founded in 1848 by Johann Christian Wacker as a forge under the name Wacker in Dresden and began industrial production in 1875. The company now has more than 50 subsidiaries, over 140 sales and service stations and over 12,000 sales and service partners worldwide.
In 1981, the founding of Neuson Hydraulik GmbH laid the foundation for one of the most important product segments of the Wacker Neuson Group. The excavators have been developed and manufactured at the Hörsching plant near Linz, Austria, since 2012. The innovative construction machines, which are exported from here to worldwide markets, regularly set standards in the industry.
